JSON is a data inter-change format used today for storing content and as an intermediary medium for transferring data and information across the Internet.
JSON is widely used and very popular, mainly due to its simplicity and lots of tools that help developers work with it.
jsonQ is a JavaScript library created specifically for manipulating JSON data, focusing on extracting, filtering, and altering JSON data. It does not generate JSON data.
jsonQ can search a JSON document for an item, it can find its siblings and parent, it can find its closest neighbors, append or prepend data, get the value of an item, get the index of an element, filter JSON data, and sort JSON according to a given criteria.
It can also find unique elements, get first, last, or nth elements, output the data in XML, and even pretty print the entire JSON.
