Image Map Resizer adds responsive support to image maps, an old HTML feature that got left behind in the whole "responsive images" trend.
This is done by calculating the percentage to which an image is resized whenever viewed from a responsive device, and applying the same percentage to the image hotspots, resizing and shifting them around the image accordingly.
This also works with window resize events and orientation changes on mobiles, the plugin always keeping the image map updated to the way users are viewing it.
Image Map Resizer works with or without jQuery loaded on the page.
Installation instructions are provided with the package's README file.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery
