This tool updates your Brother machine firmware by sending the firmware to your machine.

- Corrects network issues that occur under certain conditions.
- Changes the maximum value setting so that the ink absorber box can hold more waste Ink.
Follow the steps below to check the firmware version:
- Press * and # simultaneously.
- The firmware version is displayed on the upper left corner of the machine's display (LCD).
- The letter showing in the first or second location from the left represents the firmware version of the unit.
