WebPoint

 

0. Introduction

  • WebPoint is aimed to rapidly create HTML-based web presentations from PowerPoint files.
  • Presentation WebPoint created is standard, cross-browser, and cross-platform.
  • Unlike flash, presentation WebPoint generated need no additional plug-ins.
  •  

  • It’s very easy to convert a PowerPoint presentation to a web based one in WebPoint with only several steps. So let’s start.

1. Launch WebPoint

  • Run WebPoint program, then a “Welcome Screen” is displayed.
  •  

  • Click on “Start Conversion” to begin our job.

2. Add Source Files

  • Click on “Add” button, in the open file dialog, add PowerPoint file you like to convert.
  • You can add multiple files to the file list.
  • Double click on file item if you like to edit its output destinations.
  • When done press big “Next” button to the bottom right to change conversion settings.

3. Adjust Conversion Settings 

  • After adding the source file, you may setting some parameters of WebPoint conversion engine.
  • You can:
    • Change web presentation outlook
    • ...and size
    • ...and conversion options

  • When done, click big “Next” button to start conversion.

4. Control Conversion Process

  • Conversion will automatically start after previous step.
  • You may stop conversion at any time by click on “stop” button...
  • ...and restart conversion by click “convert”.
  • You can view output web presentations by click big “Next” button even if not all source files are converted.

5. View Conversion Result

  • Web presentations created are listed on the left.
  • Double click one to view it in internal browser.
  • You can also view in external browsers or edit them in HTML editors.
  • From “Next” button to the bottom right you may start a new conversion job.

6. Publish on Web

  • After conversion, open the output location, you may find a series of files and folders.
    • The HTML file is the main of the presentation.
    • The XML file stores presentation configurations.
    • Folders contain accessorial resources.
  • All those files and folders are necessary. Be sure to upload the whole directory to web server.
  • Use URL linked to HTML file in browser to launch presentation. Enjoy!
