MAPILab POP3 Connector 2.9.3

MAPILab POP3 Connector allows various companies to solve an actual problem of downloading mail from external POP3 servers and delivering it to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010/2013 in the most effective and simple way. In fact, Microsoft Exchange Server cannot download mail from external POP3 servers but MAPILab POP3 Connector adds such functionality to it.

This section describes known issues for MAPILab POP3 Connector. These issues may impede your ability to successfully deploy and use it. You should familiarize yourself with all of the known issues listed here prior to installing the software.

Known issues are listed based on setup errors and resolutions:

All messages are downloaded from POP3 server, but not sent

Large messages are downloaded from POP3 server, but not sent

Check log files of MAPILab POP3 Connector. If you see messages like:

then check permisions for the selected SMTP Receive Connector (for more information about permissions see product help, "Security Information" section). Run MAPILab POP3 Connector Diagnostic Tool to search problems. Also you can run MAPILab POP3 Connector Deployment Wizard to automatically define all required settings.

Large messages are downloaded from POP3 server, but not sent

Check log files of MAPILab POP3 Connector. If you see messages like:
"An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host",
then try to increase connection timeout on the selected SMTP Receive Connector. It can be done using the following Exchange Management Shell commands:
Set-Receiveconnector -Identity "selected receive connector" -ConnectionTimeout hh:mm:ss
Set-Receiveconnector -Identity "selected receive connector" -ConnectionInactivityTimeout hh:mm:ss
where hh:mm:ss - value of the timeout, e.g. 00:30:00 - is 30 minutes timeout.

Uninstallation

You can always uninstall MAPILab POP3 Connector using Add/Remove Programs Control Panel applet.

All information about configuration of the connector and mailboxes is stored in xml-files in directory %Common Application Data%\MAPILab Ltd\MAPILab POP3 Connector\config. The given directory is not deleted when the program is uninstalled. For saving or restoring the configuration you need to copy the above mentioned files from the given subdirectory.
%Common Application Data% - is a common application data folder. Location for operating system Windows Server 2003/2003 R2 is %SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\, location for operating system Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/2012 is %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\
