Option Dialog

To create a walk of Geo/GPS locations, you need to select a day and set a time range (hourly resolution). The top most edit box and the buttons labled +/- allow you to set a day (a value of 0 signifies today, 1 yesterday, 2 day before yesterday, etc.). The next two list boxes are used to set a start and end hour for the walk. Hourly time ranges are based on Military notation, i.e., 0-24 hours.

The next two options allow you to change the appearance of the track ball (used to mark a Geo/GPS location on a map). You can either change the size of the track ball, and/or its color.

The two check boxes are used for creating/modifying walks. If you want to keep the track ball marker for every Geo/GPS point of your walk (during drawing) you should check the Keep Path option. If you want to immediately draw all points of a walk on a map check the Draw All option, otherwise a point will be drawn at a rate of about 1 per second.

After you made your walk selections and closed this dialog, you will need to select the Walk Menu option to actually display the walk. Use the Zoom In/Out menu options (located under the Action menu), to change your view point of the data. To return to the standard Geo/GPS postion tracking modus, you need to select the Watch menu option again.

All created walks are also exported as text files. You can find them in the Folder Walks in the GeoWatch storage installation folder.

The final list box is used to tell GeoWatch which COM Port it should use when connecting to your devices' GPS receiver. Consult your devices documentation and GPS settings to determine the correct COM Port. If you are using Windows Mobile 6.0 and you want to run other GPS applications along side GeoWatch, then make sure you set the proper External GPS settings. You can tell if a connection has been established by looking at the GeoWatch Title Bar. The Title Bar displays the current Latitude/Longitude pairs. A value pair of 0/0 indicates that no GPS information is available. Note, that it may take some time before the data has been made available.

If you use an external GPS receiver via Bluetooth, it may be necessary for GeoWatch to restart your devices' Bluetooth service. If this is the case, you should select the Manage BT check box.
