If you already know what messages the buttons on your MIDI controller transmits, you can enter them by hand. Also, you are a MIDI nerd.
If you don’t know what MIDI messages your MIDI controller transmits (no shame, who does?), configure GarageRemote by teaching it.
-
Make sure GarageRemote’s switch is in the “On” position.
-
In the GarageRemote preference pane, double-click the function you wish to edit.
-
Type in the MIDI message corresponding to the function you are editing.
-
Hit the return key on your Mac to confirm your edit.
-
Repeat for the remaining functions.
You are now ready to rock. Or whatever.
Note: If your MIDI controller has a “Stop” button, read this.
